The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as SLB TELHA's Américo Raposo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baudilio Llinares. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. In the 7th minute, Joaquim Espinosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the game, Américo Raposo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Baudilio Llinares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the match, Atlético de Sagunto's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Raposo came free, but Baudilio Llinares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Américo Raposo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudilio Llinares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético de Sagunto's Baudilio Llinares got control of the ball when Hildeberto Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 29 minutes, Sagrario Valcarcel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético de Sagunto and the SLB TELHA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Sagunto's Sagrario Valcarcel got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when Atlético de Sagunto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sagrario Valcarcel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Espinosa's late challenge caught a Atlético de Sagunto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Espinosa helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Espinosa. Baudilio Llinares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hildeberto Nóbrega in the 37th minute. Américo Raposo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baudilio Llinares came out and tried to block the shot, but Américo Raposo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 39th minute. Joaquim Espinosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Baudilio Llinares made a huge save. Américo Raposo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Baudilio Llinares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SLB TELHA. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hildeberto Nóbrega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Atlético de Sagunto's goal looked a bit too open when Hildeberto Nóbrega came free, but Baudilio Llinares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético de Sagunto booed when SLB TELHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesualdo Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Hildeberto Nóbrega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Baudilio Llinares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético de Sagunto's Baudilio Llinares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Raposo in the 68th minute of play. Xoan Cabrera charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xoan Cabrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Atlético de Sagunto got a freekick which was hit by Xoan Cabrera. When Nuno Modesto came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the SLB TELHA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Modesto couldn't finish the play. When Luis-Miguel Companys fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético de Sagunto's protests and gave Luis-Miguel Companys a yellow card for diving instead. Luis-Miguel Companys kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Jesualdo Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Atlético de Sagunto getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gorka Campoamor hit a great ball. In the 77th minute of the match Nuno Modesto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baudilio Llinares skillfully saved the ball. Baudilio Llinares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hildeberto Nóbrega went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute Américo Raposo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudilio Llinares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Modesto to maneuver through the defense. Baudilio Llinares came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by SLB TELHA's Hildeberto Nóbrega. But to his dismay, Hildeberto Nóbrega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Raposo in the 91st minute of play forced Atlético de Sagunto's goalkeeper Baudilio Llinares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baudilio Llinares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Raposo in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Américo Raposo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SLB TELHA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SLB TELHA fully deserved thier win.
