Horácio Fontoura made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Adão Semedo sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, Hildeberto Nóbrega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 41 minutes into the game, Américo Raposo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vladimiro Barroso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Lopes. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Hildeberto Nóbrega in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladimiro Barroso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Horácio Fontoura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Palhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio Fontoura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Palhares went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Raposo came free, but Vladimiro Barroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
