But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurgain Lama couldn't finish the play. Mateus Teves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurgain Lama in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Academia Monte Gordo booed when April 25 SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eli Antunez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes of play Academia Monte Gordo's Belchior Ribas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Belchior Ribas got a free kick in the 60th minute. With a little luck, April 25 SC's Quilo Bartumeu got control of the ball when António Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia Monte Gordo's Sabino Valverde slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Quilo Bartumeu. That made the score 0-6 after 80 minutes of play. António Mendes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Quilo Bartumeu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lorencio Molina hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Academia Monte Gordo's António Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quilo Bartumeu was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and António Mendes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. António Mendes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Academia Monte Gordo played a much better game than April 25 SC and deserved their victory. The April 25 SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
