Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Nicolau Poças started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 2 minutes, Igor Colaço mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Monte Gordo and the Bacardi Black Bats players grew even worse after the yellow card. Igor Colaço hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Virgílio Lisboa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateus Teves skillfully saved the ball. In the 10th minute, Aloísio Poças got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Nicolau Poças put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mateus Teves. Mateus Teves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio Lisboa went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Nicolau Poças had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Lisboa. A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Francisco Morata hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Belchior Ribas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Morata charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Morata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bacardi Black Bats booed when Academia Monte Gordo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Morata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nicolau Poças managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacardi Black Bats's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolau Poças was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateus Teves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Carmona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudemiro Aveiro went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Sabino Valverde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Luís Carmona made a huge save. Mateus Teves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolau Poças's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After 41 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Vasques. After the first half Bacardi Black Bats were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Ribas in the 52nd minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Luís Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Carmo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If António Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermano Machado hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Belchior Ribas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolau Poças to maneuver through the defense. Mateus Teves made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Nicolau Poças sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Belchior Ribas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Carmona was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Eusébio Carmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabino Valverde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgílio Lisboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateus Teves having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Bacardi Black Bats's goal looked a bit too open when António Mendes came free, but Luís Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Vasques to maneuver through the defense. António Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Francisco Morata hit a great ball. Academia Monte Gordo were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
