Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Alexandre Lucena charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Lucena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9thth minute of the game Moisés Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Delta FS's Paulo Esparteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Esparteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renato Marinho in the 10th minute. Alexandre Lucena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Esparteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandre Lucena slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. In the 23rd minute, José Toscano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delta FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Nogueira came free, but Paulo Esparteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alexandre Lucena came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ponte do Carro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Lucena couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Humberto Bettencourt hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Gregório Modesto put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ponte do Carro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Alípio Regalado had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Adolfo Ramalho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Silvério Cardoso hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes, Delta FS's Adolfo Ramalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alípio Regalado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Delta FS reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Nogueira in the 43rd minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Paulo Esparteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Miguéis to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Renato Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when Delta FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Vilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Esparteiro having to make a save. Bernardo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Vítor Sacramento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ponte do Carro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delta FS the free kick. Vítor Sacramento kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Moisés Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Caetano. The Delta FS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ponte do Carro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
