OSTROVA's Zhecho Komitov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikita Arhipov in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, OSTROVA's Mihail Krústenyakov got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Gancho Yarúkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gancho Gotev might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gleb Subbotin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gancho Gotev ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gennadiy Fadeev during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Курск ФК getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gennadiy Fadeev hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Gancho Gotev managed to get in a good position for a shot. OSTROVA's supporters rose to their feet, but Gancho Gotev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gleb Subbotin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gancho Gotev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Nikita Arhipov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhecho Komitov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. OSTROVA were furious when Milyo Prangov was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gancho Yarúkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gennadiy Fadeev in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zhecho Komitov saved OSTROVA from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, OSTROVA's goal looked a bit too open when Gennadiy Fadeev came free, but Zhecho Komitov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihail Krústenyakov's late challenge caught a Курск ФК's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihail Krústenyakov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to OSTROVA getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Mihail Krústenyakov hit a great ball. Zhecho Komitov made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Aleksey Doronin sent off a good shot on target. Aleksey Doronin scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zhecho Komitov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. OSTROVA's Haralampi Kanov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nikita Kutepov, made in the 64th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Курск ФК's zone, Gancho Yarúkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gleb Subbotin came out of the goal and Gancho Yarúkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, OSTROVA's Zhecho Komitov got control of the ball when Aleksandr Goncharenko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haralampi Kanov kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Aleksandr Goncharenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Zhecho Komitov made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, OSTROVA's goal looked a bit too open when Nikita Arhipov came free, but Zhecho Komitov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikita Arhipov kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, OSTROVA's Gancho Yarúkov got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Gennadiy Fadeev made a precise shot to the right of Zhecho Komitov. OSTROVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 89 minutes into the match, OSTROVA's goal looked a bit too open when Gennadiy Fadeev came free, but Zhecho Komitov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Курск ФК were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
