Blue avalanche's Valkan Túrpanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy LondeLalonde in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Blue avalanche's zone, Freddy LondeLalonde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valkan Túrpanov came out of the goal and Freddy LondeLalonde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 1. FC Union Weberei's Franz Kolb got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruslan Pemov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ken Barth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy LondeLalonde struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Valkan Túrpanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Union Weberei. Valkan Túrpanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vittorio Freud in the 33rd minute of play. Freddy LondeLalonde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Blue avalanche defense, Freddy LondeLalonde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valkan Túrpanov. The Blue avalanche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valkan Túrpanov should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy LondeLalonde to make the kick off. Valkan Túrpanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franz Kolb in the 66th minute of the match. FC Union Weberei played a much better game than Blue avalanche and deserved their victory. The Blue avalanche players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
