Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Didier Bonenfant kicked off to start the match. If Ralf Scenna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didier Bonenfant's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joost De Groot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Oswald Haeselaers took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marc Brand. Marc Brand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marc Brand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Haeselaers, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ewout Vorster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Marc Brand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthias Van Cleijnenbruegel in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marc Brand saved Mjöllnir from getting behind. A collision led to Mjöllnir getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jacquin Bühlmann hit a great ball. 0-3 became the score in the 28th minute when Oswald Haeselaers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Marc Brand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brecht La Rose went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute, Didier Bonenfant fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joost De Groot, passed just outside the right post. After 37 minutes of play, Haithabu FC's Roni Dejonckheere made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marc Brand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marc Brand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswald Haeselaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oswald Haeselaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswald Haeselaers was the one to do the kick off. Marc Brand was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Ewout Vorster capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ewout Vorster really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Matthias Van Cleijnenbruegel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haithabu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Van Cleijnenbruegel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc Brand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brecht La Rose charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brecht La Rose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Haithabu FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Brecht La Rose hit a great ball. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Mjöllnir from getting a goal against them. After 72 played minutes Ewout Vorster rounded Mjöllnir's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. Marc Brand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswald Haeselaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Joost De Weijgaert in the 82nd minute of play. Haithabu FC's Matthias Van Cleijnenbruegel got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mjöllnir's Marc Brand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswald Haeselaers in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Haithabu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart De Scheper to maneuver through the defense. When Didier Bonenfant came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mjöllnir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didier Bonenfant couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ewout Vorster in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Brand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Haithabu FC played a much better game than Mjöllnir and deserved their victory. The Mjöllnir players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
