The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. René Švéda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pieter-Jan Hulshof, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Dirk Jan Snoeks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Božek in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Anton Bergmeester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt van Veldhuizen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Švéda having to interfere. Dirk Jan Snoeks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Božek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Radovan Šálek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Jan Snoeks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willem Rijkaard hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Patrik Jirout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Koleček in the 37th minute of play forced AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Dirk Jan Snoeks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AVV Zeeburgia's Dirk Jan Snoeks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Koleček in the 64th minute of play. Patrik Jirout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Dirk Jan Snoeks made a huge save. Patrik Jirout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dirk Jan Snoeks made a huge save. Pardubice Hurricanes played a much better game than AVV Zeeburgia and deserved their victory. The AVV Zeeburgia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
