A collision led to The Dalwhinnie Boys getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Wilfried Ottens hit a great ball. Marten De Hond's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Arne Tellingen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Theo Van Haght charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theo Van Haght the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Flamenco United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Van Haght to maneuver through the defense. If Wilfried Ottens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marten De Hond's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arne Tellingen firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Dalwhinnie Boys were furious when Jim Robben was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Romain Labrouche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Smeekes in the 13th minute of the match. Arne Tellingen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Wuyts in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Flamenco United defense, Roel Geerdink kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romain Labrouche. The Flamenco United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romain Labrouche should have stopped the shot. Theo Smeekes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain Labrouche having to interfere. Robbie Van Eijken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Arne Tellingen made a huge save. Arne Tellingen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marten De Hond's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Flamenco United's Edward Wuyts ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arne Tellingen. Arne Tellingen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Romain Labrouche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Smeekes in the 37th minute of play. When Frits Schrage fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Dalwhinnie Boys's protests and gave Frits Schrage a yellow card for diving instead. Frits Schrage hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Marten De Hond dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arne Tellingen, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theo Smeekes was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Marten De Hond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Dalwhinnie Boys's Arne Tellingen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marten De Hond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Arne Tellingen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes The Dalwhinnie Boys got a freekick which was hit by Erben Spiljard. The Flamenco United fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Flamenco United's Marten De Hond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marten De Hond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arne Tellingen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 minutes of play, Flamenco United's Vicente Dechamps made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arne Tellingen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the match, The Dalwhinnie Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Marten De Hond came free, but Arne Tellingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Flamenco United's Marten De Hond in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Dalwhinnie Boys's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Ben Schokkenbroek got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Freek Lembrechts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Tellingen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Flamenco United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Wuyts to maneuver through the defense. Frits Schrage kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Dalwhinnie Boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
