Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Olympique Fribourg's Elia Delfs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chris Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Alferink in the 4th minute of play. SV Balverliefd's Jos Deuring got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillaume Vittiger to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's Twan Blanc broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 11 played minutes SV Balverliefd got a freekick which was hit by Steve Verbeek. Ruud Windmuller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elia Delfs in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Balverliefd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sixt Jung was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympique Fribourg's players had a chance to rest. Uli Bieri kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uli Bieri to maneuver through the defense. Kristian Mols kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Elia Delfs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olympique Fribourg's Chris Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jos Deuring in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Jan Alferink left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV Balverliefd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Chris Lang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berend Tigelaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With his leg Ruud Windmuller managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Olympique Fribourg's Jerrick Heuberger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ralf Bianco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruud Windmuller having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Chris Lang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Jos Deuring made a precise shot to the right of Chris Lang. Olympique Fribourg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, SV Balverliefd's Heiko Mulder got a free kick in the 47th minute. Sixt Jung took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruud Windmuller. SV Balverliefd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jos Deuring made a kick off. Jan Alferink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Chris Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berend Tigelaar charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berend Tigelaar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Berend Tigelaar hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Heiko Mulder kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Rory Richter's late challenge caught a SV Balverliefd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Elia Delfs took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruud Windmuller. Ruud Windmuller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixt Jung during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Sixt Jung was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. Jos Deuring made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 72ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Chris Lang would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When Berend Tigelaar came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the SV Balverliefd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berend Tigelaar couldn't finish the play. Chris Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Alferink in the 80th minute of the match. Erwin Moes charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erwin Moes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ruud Windmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrick Heuberger in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th match minute, SV Balverliefd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Twan Blanc to maneuver through the defense. If Jerrick Heuberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruud Windmuller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Nietlispach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berend Tigelaar got free with Chris Lang in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, SV Balverliefd's Jos Deuring dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. SV Balverliefd played a much better game than Olympique Fribourg and deserved their victory. The Olympique Fribourg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
