Ivo Schellekens's late challenge caught a Zelg FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Schellekens helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Les Presidents FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ivo Schellekens hit a great ball. Hannes Gerig struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Casper Candries didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zelg FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrico Vogt to strike the kick off in the second half. Willy Rouvroys in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 88th minute, Les Presidents FC's Ivo Schellekens seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ivo Schellekens the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Les Presidents FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ivo Schellekens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ivo Schellekens hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Hercules Brütsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zelg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hercules Brütsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 94 played minutes Jeroen Robijns rounded Zelg FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Les Presidents FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
