But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Peter van Zaanen couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Veselko Recko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. ASV Muziekwijk were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after NK FOLKROLA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jan-Peter van Zaanen took the corner. A collision led to ASV Muziekwijk getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rinus Zwartkruis hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Jim Damstra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Peter van Zaanen hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to ASV Muziekwijk getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jim Wansink hit a great ball. The supporters of NK FOLKROLA booed when ASV Muziekwijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rinus Zwartkruis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiën Elders hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximilian Prunk in the 34th minute of play forced ASV Muziekwijk's goalkeeper Roel Peeters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Peter van Zaanen in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Veselko Recko saved NK FOLKROLA from getting behind. After 39 played minutes NK FOLKROLA got a freekick which was hit by Rino Alauf. The NK FOLKROLA fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when NK FOLKROLA's Brando Kecelj looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half NK FOLKROLA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Veselko Recko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Peter van Zaanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vidko Bižal charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vidko Bižal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ASV Muziekwijk booed when NK FOLKROLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidko Bižal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Griemink charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Peter van Zaanen in the 69th minute of play forced NK FOLKROLA's goalkeeper Veselko Recko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind NK FOLKROLA's goalkeeper Veselko Recko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When ASV Muziekwijk's Jan-Peter van Zaanen in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind NK FOLKROLA's goalkeeper Veselko Recko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. NK FOLKROLA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
