Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mitch Hollandts started the match with the kick off. In the 9th match minute, Lions United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommi Uytebroeck to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, Wilfred Vonk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dany-Adams Gijselinckx hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Wilfred Vonk, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nils Verhaghen charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils Verhaghen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascall Mik got free with Izak Capellemans in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henny Jans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Hollandts in the 30th minute of the match. Henk Hofland was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Henk Hofland. In the 33rd minute Jorg Coenens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henny Jans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Sjors Schulte came free, but Izak Capellemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Rensenbrink.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jos Brandsma to make the kick off. Matias Calstermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Henny Jans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunter Van Bets's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henny Jans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Gunter Van Bets got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sjors Schulte during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Sjors Schulte got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jos Brandsma kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Mitch Hollandts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henny Jans having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommi Uytebroeck during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jos Brandsma couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lions United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
