Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bart De Koq took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Roland Boon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when The Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Lamey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Morreels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Boon in the 7th minute of play. The Underdogs's Gert Heitinga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ignace Streels in the 8 minute of the game. The Underdogs's Nico van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Spoelbergh in the 10th minute of play. Nick Lamey hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Nico van Kampen made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Bart De Koq sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Lieven Omblets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes, The Underdogs's Nick Lamey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mattias Morreels came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Underdogs reached it. After having played for 23 minutes, Roland Boon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Underdogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Boon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Purple Talents's Cederique De Kepper ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nico van Kampen. Nico van Kampen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Boon in the 28th minute of play forced Purple Talents's goalkeeper Mattias Morreels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play, The Underdogs's Roland Boon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mattias Morreels was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bart De Koq could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Nico van Kampen made a huge save. Nico van Kampen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart De Koq, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carsten van Wonderen's late challenge caught a Purple Talents's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carsten van Wonderen helped the player get up and apologised. Carsten van Wonderen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, The Underdogs's Maurice van Rhijn seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maurice van Rhijn the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of The Underdogs protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maurice van Rhijn had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Underdogs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! Eddy Claes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Carsten van Wonderen made the kick off in the second half. Mattias Morreels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten van Wonderen, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carsten van Wonderen got free with Mattias Morreels in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the game, Gert Heitinga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Underdogs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purple Talents the free kick. In the 64th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Heitinga to maneuver through the defense. Eddy Claes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Nico van Kampen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Claes in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico van Kampen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gert Heitinga kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Carsten van Wonderen. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Eddy Claes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purple Talents's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Claes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico van Kampen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Claes in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico van Kampen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Eddy Claes put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nico van Kampen. Bart De Koq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico van Kampen having to interfere. Bart De Koq sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bart De Koq's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nico van Kampen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After 91 minutes The Underdogs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brecht De Wortelaer who took care of the corner kick. In the 95th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Heitinga to maneuver through the defense. Purple Talents walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
