Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marcel Blanc got the match started through his kick off. Mijdrecht Maffia's Rik Numan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Claes in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Thibaud Theuniers got a free kick in the 11th minute. Gerrit van der Weerden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mattias Morreels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Andy Spoelbergh got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 20 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Douwe van den Bergh. Philip Blommaart's late challenge caught a Purple Talents's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philip Blommaart helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mijdrecht Maffia getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Philip Blommaart hit a great ball. Mattias Morreels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurens Hollander, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Mattias Morreels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Stühling in the 31st minute of the match. Stephan van Fessum's late challenge caught a Purple Talents's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stephan van Fessum helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Mijdrecht Maffia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan van Fessum didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Claes was the one to do the kick off. Toni Stühling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Claes in the 62nd minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Rik Numan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gertjan Theisens might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Morreels. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gertjan Theisens ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gertjan Theisens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
