Gualtier Jetté was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ron Steffen charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ron Steffen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gualtier Jetté had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Mikel Jerzinger's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dieter Gärtner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Schermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dieter Gärtner made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Dino Straumann sent off a good shot on target. After the first half FC Lugano were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Tito Waechter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualtier Jetté having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's Mikel Jerzinger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualtier Jetté narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dieter Gärtner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Straumann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 64 minutes, Florian Diederich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Diederich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes, THE ROKERY PIMKIS's Tiberio Lisibach shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dieter Gärtner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in THE ROKERY PIMKIS reached it. THE ROKERY PIMKIS's Gualtier Jetté played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 91st minute of play. Florian Diederich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Gualtier Jetté made a huge save. Tiziano Gamache scored 0-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gualtier Jetté, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Lugano's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
