If Cléber Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo de Barros came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Gilson Saldanha. But to his dismay, Gilson Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 8 minutes of play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Cacá Bittencourt made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caio Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Paulo de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Cacá Nascimento scored 3-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo de Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Wágner Toledo could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Paulo de Barros however easily saved by the left post. Paulo de Barros made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Gilson Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Cléber Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vivaldo Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebra Ossos FC's protests and gave Vivaldo Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. Vivaldo Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Paulo de Barros came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Cacá Nascimento. But to his dismay, Cacá Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 29th minute, Gilson Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo de Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 31st minute, Cacá Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Paulo de Barros. Quebra Ossos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Quebra Ossos FC's Paulo de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Quebra Ossos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute, Cléber Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Wágner Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Mendonça in the 40th minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Paulo de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo de Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ were the better team. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
