After 4 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Barreto. In the 5th minute Rodrigo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Poetass FC's Dani Portillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Kléber Tavares hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dani Portillo in the 15th minute of play forced FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Felipe Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Poetass FC were awarded a corner. Rony Peixoto went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Poetass FC's corner Rony Peixoto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felipe Tande quite easily take care of the ball. Dário Pernambucano's late challenge caught a FC Gustavo FPRMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. When Marcelinho Donatello fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Gustavo FPRMZ's protests and gave Marcelinho Donatello a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when FC Gustavo FPRMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Dani Portillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorival Massa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cássio de Senna having to make a save. In the 36th minute Marcelinho Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Poetass FC's zone, Dorival Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio de Senna came out of the goal and Dorival Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Dani Portillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poetass FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dani Portillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Massa made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Quirino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cássio de Senna. Rodrigo Quirino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 58th match minute, FC Gustavo FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardinho Britto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dani Portillo in the 60th minute of play forced FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Felipe Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Donatello in the 62nd minute of the match. Cássio de Senna was a little too slow when Marcelinho Donatello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. The audience was convinced that Dani Portillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Tande was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. If Abelardo Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Gustavo FPRMZ booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Dorival Massa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cássio de Senna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Felipe Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Abelardo Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Felipe Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Gustavo FPRMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
