With a little luck, Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto got control of the ball when Sydney Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thiago Secco during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gato Preto FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Thiago Secco hit a great ball. If Sydney Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gato Preto FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Sydney Maciel scored to the left of an out of position Chicão Peixoto, making the score, 2-0. A collision led to Gato Preto FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Caco da Costa hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Durval Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sydney Maciel had several of the Gato Preto FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Chicão Peixoto as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of FC Gustavo FPRMZ booed when Gato Preto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sydney Maciel struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Chicão Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gustavo FPRMZ. In the 33rd minute, Rodrigo Quirino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Gustavo FPRMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After 38 minutes of play Gato Preto FC's Thiago Secco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 44th minute Robinho de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Prata in the 46th minute of play forced FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Felipe Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sydney Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. The attack was good, but when Sydney Maciel in the 55th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Mandrak in the 57th minute of play. Chicão Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Maciel in the 64th minute of the match. Clóvis Guimarães lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gato Preto FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! If Sydney Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's Sydney Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Bebeto da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chicão Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Sydney Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Chicão Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joaquim Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the FC Gustavo FPRMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
