Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Soares in the 3rd minute of the match. Icoara Football Club were furious when Valdo Lima was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Heidemann FC - FSCMZ booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 8th minute, when Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Basílio Pernambucano after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Caetano Monteiro in Icoara Football Club's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Elano Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Caetano Monteiro made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Fabrício Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Falcão da Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Falcão da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 26th minute, Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Elano Batista dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 30th minute, Elano Batista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heidemann FC - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Genílson de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Vinhas having to interfere. In the 35th minute Jorginho Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Batista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Caetano Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Elano Batista slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Soares to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Brodel in the 54th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Brodel in the 58th minute of the match. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Batista in the 59th minute of play. The referee gave Icoara Football Club a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fabrício Rosa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Gualter Vinhas. 4-1. Elano Batista took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano Monteiro. Leonel Soares struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Caetano Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heidemann FC - FSCMZ. After 74 minutes of play, Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Elano Batista made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there!
