Juan Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Valladares in the 8th minute of play. Juan Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto Capixaba came free, but Remo da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Rômulo Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when Hílton Lago put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Hílton Lago got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Juan Vieira came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by S S Palestra Italia's Luís Paulo da Mata. But to his dismay, Luís Paulo da Mata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Valladares in the 28th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Remo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Paulo da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Juan Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rômulo Macedo took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Vieira. Juan Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lucas Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arthur Munhoz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Remo da Costa came out and tried to block the shot, but Arthur Munhoz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 41st minute. Davi Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Paulo da Mata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in S S Palestra Italia's zone, Lucas Munhoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remo da Costa came out of the goal and Lucas Munhoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute César Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, César Terra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Vieira. César Terra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. 75 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's Fausto Valladares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remo da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Luís Paulo da Mata took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Juan Vieira to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caetano Félix during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Caetano Félix got a free kick in the 91st minute.
