Oscar Pereira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Duarte came free, but Oscar Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Bernardinho Duarte made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oscar Pereira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geraldo Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Urbano having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Basílio Mazza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Oscar Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Léo Britto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xapetuba Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Oscar Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Léo Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Geovânio da Rocha got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio da Rocha in the 27th minute of play forced Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalkeeper Oscar Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dênis Loyola hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Borges came free, but Geraldo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Xapetuba Futebol Clube were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Geraldo Linares made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Bernardinho Duarte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oscar Pereira. Oscar Pereira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Mário Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Urbano having to interfere. Oscar Pereira was a little too slow when Clemente Leme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-6. Anderson de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute Vânderson Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Pereira made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Geovânio da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. Geovânio da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Britto in the 75th minute of play forced Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalkeeper Oscar Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Geraldo Linares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geraldo Urbano was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovânio da Rocha hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Geraldo Urbano came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Geraldo Linares. But to his dismay, Geraldo Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Basílio Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Pereira having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Clemente Leme dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oscar Pereira, 1-8.
