The supporters of Gracie Barra booed when REAL VASCO RIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Marcinho Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Leopoldo Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Pirani in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Angelo Tande hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Fabinho Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flávio de Queiroz skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's Doni Ramalho got a free kick in the 29th minute. Tiago Godoi took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio de Queiroz. Flávio de Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Igor Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio de Queiroz having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gláuber Cardozo made a kick off. If Doni Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Godoi in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Flávio de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Godoi in the 59th minute of the match. Flávio de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. REAL VASCO RIO's Flávio de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Godoi in the 66th minute of play. Igor Pirani's late challenge caught a REAL VASCO RIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Pirani helped the player get up and apologised. Igor Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Rubens Marinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Queirós skillfully saved the ball. Gláuber Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Queirós having to interfere. Flávio de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Flávio de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Pirani in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Tiago Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flávio de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Sydney Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Doni Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Tiago Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flávio de Queiroz having to make a save. Gracie Barra's Leopoldo Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Gracie Barra from getting a goal against them.
