Cachoeirinha were furious when Filipe de Souza was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Serginho da Silva struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Betão de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Prudente. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Mattos in the 32nd minute of play forced S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Betão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Deivid Prestes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Betão de Amaral. That made the score 2-2 in the 57 minute of play. Dedé Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Dedé Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Veloso in the 71st minute of play. Frederico Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frederico Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Prudente's Frederico Linares got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Gomes in the 75th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Dedé Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Grêmio Prudente getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Serginho da Silva hit a great ball. Deivid Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Veloso came free, but Dedé Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho da Silva to maneuver through the defense. If Mauro Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Deivid Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Grêmio Prudente players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
