Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Humberto Carioca kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, FC BARCELONA's Nando Terra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nando Terra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC BARCELONA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nando Terra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC BARCELONA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Alfredinho Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Guará FC booed when FC BARCELONA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristóvão Mattos fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guará FC's protests and gave Cristóvão Mattos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Alfredinho Alvarenga got a free kick in the 12th minute. Guará FC's Célio Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Guará FC from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Alfredinho Alvarenga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guará FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fellipe Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guará FC's goalkeeper Célio Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cristóvão Mattos took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Schmidt. Jairo Schmidt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jairo Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Netto in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alfredinho Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. When Guará FC's Luís Fabiano Netto in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alfredinho Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Jairo Schmidt made a huge save. After 72 played minutes FC BARCELONA got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Mello. 74 minutes into the game, Luizão Varela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC BARCELONA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guará FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA's Luizão Varela got a free kick in the 75th minute. Célio Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Luizão Varela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
