Ciro Simões was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pedro Augusto Marquez. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráusio Santos to make the kick off. Ciro Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulisses Carioca got free with Rogério Cean in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Augusto Marquez in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Túlio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Marquez came free, but Ciro Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
