Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Compugraf's João Carlos Bezerra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as SE Palmeiras's Oswaldo Godoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chico Fernandez. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. 7 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Compugraf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SE Palmeiras the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Costa in the 10th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Fonseca in the 13th minute of play. Nilson Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Compugraf's Júlio Neves got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Christiano Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Chico Fernandez made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Compugraf's Enio Fonseca got a free kick in the 30th minute. SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Fonseca in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Oswaldo Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Compugraf getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Enio Fonseca hit a great ball. Toninho Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Nilson Dracena made a huge save. Cássio Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Dracena having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Ribeiro got free with Nilson Dracena in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nilson Dracena didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 88th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Cássio Ribeiro scored 2-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilson Dracena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
