Zé Faria came out of the goal and Rogério de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dráuzio Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 5 minutes into the match, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Dráuzio Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Faria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14thth minute of the game Raphael Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BOA VISTA E.C.'s Zé Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 minutes, Rogério de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TIMETER EC -DMZ- and the BOA VISTA E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guto Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Raphael Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Faria was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guto Neto was the one to do the kick off. Vítor de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Cabral in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th match minute, TIMETER EC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Dráuzio Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Aguiar in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Faria saved BOA VISTA E.C. from getting behind. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
