But to his dismay, Guto Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. BOA VISTA E.C.'s Tony Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredão Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Neto in the 22nd minute of the match. Miguel Alagoano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Faria having to make a save. If Miguel Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Neto in the 29th minute of the match. Guto Neto struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Alfredão Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BOA VISTA E.C.. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeca do Valle during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alfredão Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Valadares's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 53 minutes, Téo de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austra VFC and the BOA VISTA E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Austra VFC's Nuno Severo got a free kick in the 85th minute. Austra VFC's Alfredão Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Austra VFC from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute of the match Pedro Pancareken shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Faria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Austra VFC booed when BOA VISTA E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austra VFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though BOA VISTA E.C. had controlled the match.
