Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cido Gerber kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes Juventudes Libertárias got a freekick which was hit by Simão Esteves. Diamantino Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Baptista in the 6th minute of play. Diamantino Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Baptista in the 8th minute of the match. Dário Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Beto de Sousa made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Wanderson Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila Nova FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Juventudes Libertárias booed when Vila Nova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto de Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Baptista in the 28th minute of play forced Juventudes Libertárias's goalkeeper Diamantino Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víktor Sanches struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Diamantino Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova FC. Wanderson Baptista took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Nunes. Diamantino Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 42nd minute Cido Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Baptista in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Vila Nova FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dário Britto was the one to do the kick off. Beto de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Víktor Sanchess short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Diamantino Nunes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diamantino Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Baptista in the 68th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Henrique do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes of play Vila Nova FC's Víktor Sanches was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
