The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artur Nunes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Bebeto Quadros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Iuri Viana made a huge save. In the 11th minute, Severino de Azevedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iuri Viana. The goal made the score 1-0. Ronaldão Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Toledo having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mané Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ernesto de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the . SC Manhattan . fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto de Queirós couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Guga Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Bebeto Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iuri Viana. Catugi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bebeto Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Severino de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Iuri Viana made a huge save. Catugi FC's Iuri Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga Queiroz in the 38th minute of play. Ernesto de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Iuri Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, . SC Manhattan .'s Guga Queiroz made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iuri Viana was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldão Silveira made a kick off. Natã Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, . SC Manhattan .'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Silveira came free, but Mané Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iuri Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Queiroz in the 89th minute of the match. Mané Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
