Waldir Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Zanette went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Carioca in the 48th minute of play forced Jucazinho SC's goalkeeper Waldir Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Benjamim Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waldir Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Carioca went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When Valdir Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Pecém fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Tavares couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Amaral hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Jucazinho SC's Rômulo Amaral got a free kick in the 81st minute. Valdir Tavares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Waldir Moraes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Pecém's zone, Délio Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio Eger came out of the goal and Délio Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Washington Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Valdir Tavares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldir Moraes. That made the score 0-6 in the 91 minute of play. Pecém played a much better game than Jucazinho SC and deserved their victory. The Jucazinho SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
