Celsinho Vidal succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 15th minute, Diogo Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Hermínio Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Família Ressaca MZ's Décio Mendonça got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dino Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitinho Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Vitinho Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Montenegro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitinho Fontes saved Família Ressaca MZ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Montenegro in the 26th minute of play forced Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper Vitinho Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sérgio Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Montenegro in the 29th minute of play forced Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper Vitinho Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Família Ressaca MZ's Vitinho Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Família Ressaca MZ from getting a goal against them. Atlético-PR's Hermínio Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Família Ressaca MZ's zone, Sérgio Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Fontes came out of the goal and Sérgio Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Diogo Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético-PR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 played minutes Família Ressaca MZ got a freekick which was hit by Jean do Nascimento. 41 minutes into the match, Hermínio Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitinho Fontes. Família Ressaca MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermínio Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Eriberto Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes Família Ressaca MZ got a freekick which was hit by Durval de Medeiros. After the first half Família Ressaca MZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Maciel made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Família Ressaca MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Diogo Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Vitinho Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético-PR. Simão Koehler hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Jean do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Família Ressaca MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético-PR the free kick. A collision led to Família Ressaca MZ getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jean do Nascimento hit a great ball. Atlético-PR's Lauro Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitinho Fontes came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético-PR's Diogo Montenegro. But to his dismay, Diogo Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 68 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Medeiros came free, but Vitinho Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Sérgio Jacinto made a precise shot to the right of Vitinho Fontes. Família Ressaca MZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Vitinho Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Jacinto in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Sérgio Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético-PR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermínio Medeiros took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitinho Fontes. Vitinho Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atlético-PR had played much better football throughout.
