Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dráuzio Alvarenga got the match started through his kick off. Frédson Guerra hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Jr Familia Campos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Melo in the 10th minute of play. Róbson Passos took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jardel Coelho. Jardel Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Jr Familia Campos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conrado Macedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jardel Coelho. Jr Familia Campos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Jr Familia Campos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Passos came free, but Jardel Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Edinho Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jr Familia Campos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexilhão F. C. the free kick. Edinho Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olívio Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Jr Familia Campos FC's Edinho Freire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Paulo Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Conrado Macedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexilhão F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jardel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Horácio Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Jr Familia Campos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Melo. In the 53rd minute, Raúl Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gustavo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Luís Paulo Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Reis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mexilhão F. C.'s Luís Paulo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Magalhães in the 63rd minute of play. Horácio Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Velloso having to interfere. Dráuzio Alvarenga scored 0-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Custódio to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Jr Familia Campos FC's Raúl Negri tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, José Carlos Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jardel Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbson Passos in the 83rd minute. Luís Gustavo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Jr Familia Campos FC's goalkeeper Jardel Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Macedo. Luís Gustavo Melo's late challenge caught a Mexilhão F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Gustavo Melo helped the player get up and apologised. 95 minutes into the match, Jr Familia Campos FC's goalkeeper Jardel Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Macedo. Horácio Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexilhão F. C. played a much better game than Jr Familia Campos FC and deserved their victory. The Jr Familia Campos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
