In the 4th minute, Sidnei Souza made a precise shot to the right of Baltazar Velasco. F.C. Carmo De Kiev's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Baltazar Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Walmir Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Meia Praia's protests and gave Walmir Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. Belmiro Saldanha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thiago Junior's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sidney Braga firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Souza in the 25th minute of play forced F.C. Carmo De Kiev's goalkeeper Baltazar Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Grêmio Meia Praia getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rodrigo Brito hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Grêmio Meia Praia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Thiago Junior fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 34th minute, Edgar Dracena made a precise shot to the right of Baltazar Velasco. F.C. The Grêmio Meia Praia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sidnei Souza made the kick off in the second half. Sidney Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Varela in the 52nd minute of the match. Amauri Varela struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Sidney Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Carmo De Kiev. 55 minutes into the game, F.C. Carmo De Kiev's Carlos Alberto da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Braga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. If Thiago Junior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgar Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baltazar Velasco. That made the score 2-4 in the 60 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Amauri Varela made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Braga. Grêmio Meia Praia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. 72 minutes into the match, F.C. Carmo De Kiev's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Dracena came free, but Baltazar Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Meia Praia's Sidnei Souza got a free kick in the 75th minute. Amauri Varela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidney Braga having to make a save. Carmo De Kiev's Vinícius Teixeira got a free kick in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amauri Varela in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Braga saved Grêmio Meia Praia from getting behind. Grêmio Meia Praia's Sidney Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto da Cunha in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Amauri Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
