The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valdomiro Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléber Queirós in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the game, Amadeu Vasconcelos threw the ball into play from the sideline. Squadra Demarchi's Ciro Castro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Valdomiro Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Queirós in the 11th minute of the match. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 14 played minutes Claudinho Pinho rounded New England Patriots's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Kléber Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Richard Moura hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Jean Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Kléber Queirós succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 30th playminute. A collision led to New England Patriots getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Reginaldo Prado hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Squadra Demarchi's Paulinho Paraibano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Faria in the 48th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Paulinho Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Nunes having to interfere. Sérgio Batista hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Valdomiro Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Duda Pitta fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Patriots's protests and gave Duda Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to New England Patriots getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Duda Pitta hit a great ball. With a little luck, Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha got control of the ball when Gustavo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Aparecido in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute Kléber Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Claudinho Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Kléber Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Valdomiro Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
