Walmyr Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Facopo FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Gaspar. Facopo FBPA's Augusto Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Arnaldo Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético de Blumenau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 34 played minutes, Facopo FBPA's Laércio Gaspar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roger Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Facopo FBPA reached it. In the 39th minute, Silvinho de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte do Valle struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Cido Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético de Blumenau. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simão Duarte to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Facopo FBPA's zone, Zé Pedro Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cido Cavalcante came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Cavalcante having to interfere. After some careless play in the Facopo FBPA defense, Simão Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cido Cavalcante. The Facopo FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cido Cavalcante should have stopped the shot. Alberto Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Tiago Gabriel Damião fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Facopo FBPA's protests and gave Tiago Gabriel Damião a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Facopo FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Damião. 73 minutes into the match, Atlético de Blumenau's Arnaldo Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido Cavalcante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atlético de Blumenau's Roger Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético de Blumenau from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Simão Duarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cido Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Facopo FBPA's Cido Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Cabral in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Facopo FBPA's zone, Túlio Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cido Cavalcante came out of the goal and Túlio Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Atlético de Blumenau booed when Facopo FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmyr Simões during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Arnaldo Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Cido Cavalcante. Facopo FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After 98 minutes of play, Atlético de Blumenau's Zé Pedro Carvalho made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cido Cavalcante was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atlético de Blumenau had played much better football throughout.
