Arnaldo Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Duarte hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Jonathan Santana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético de Blumenau's Roger Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Osmar Lago made a huge save. When Osvaldo Berger was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Osmar Lago made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Simão Duarte sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
