In the 13th minute, Alfredão Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemente Andrade took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Fernando Almeida. Carlos Fernando Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Andrade in the 23rd minute of play forced São Paulo da Floresta's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Paulista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonatan Calleri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 26 minute of play. Carlinhos Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Lucas Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Locomotiva grena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo da Floresta the free kick. Jonatan Calleri might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vito Paulista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonatan Calleri ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredão Trevisan was the one to do the kick off. Locomotiva grena's Vito Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Calleri in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Válter Braga. The long shot by Luís Santos in the 59th minute really tested Carlos Fernando Almeida's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Lucas Magalhães got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hélio Fontes. 65 minutes into the match, Locomotiva grena's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Sergipano came free, but Vito Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlinhos Sergipano took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Paulista. Vito Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. After 72 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Rossi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Calleri in the 77th minute of play forced Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper Vito Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vito Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 97 minutes of play, São Paulo da Floresta's Dadá de Andrade made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vito Paulista was left in no man's land by his defense there! São Paulo da Floresta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
