Valdir Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdir Dias came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Miguel Varela. But to his dismay, Miguel Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Humberto Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Dias. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Valdir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Varela in the 25th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Marinho. In the 29th minute, Miguel Varela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Danilo Queirós's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Donato de Sena firmly grabbed it by the left post. Valdir Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Andrade went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute of the game Anselmo Pimenta made a throw-in which Humberto Andrade played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Queirós got free with Donato de Sena in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Humberto Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Valdir Dias got control of the ball when Virgílio Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Valdir Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Betão de Alcântara got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Ernesto Dionísio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donato de Sena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Dragon FC - DMZ reached it. Danilo Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Marinho hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Mathias Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Carlinhos Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Mathias Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato de Sena. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Carlinhos Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Queirós during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
