Délio Tepedino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Bueno in the 10th minute of play forced ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s goalkeeper Délio Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmyr de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noel Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Guilherme Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Cambotinha EC defense, Walmyr de Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilherme Porto. The Cambotinha EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilherme Porto should have stopped the shot. Cambotinha EC's Guilherme Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Mineiro in the 27th minute of play. Adriano Figueiredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Délio Tepedino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Walmyr de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Paulo Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cambotinha EC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luizinho de Queiroz took the corner. In the 44th match minute, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ made a substitution. Ronaldinho Paranaense replaced Haroldo Mineiro. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Edgard Brodel was substituted for Marquinhos Bertassi. Délio Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Délio Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Mathias Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambotinha EC the free kick. A collision led to ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mathias Cosme hit a great ball. Antônio Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Tepedino having to interfere. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Délio Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ from getting a goal against them. After 71 played minutes Cambotinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel de Amaral. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Walmyr de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lenílson Mendes hit a great ball. Noel Saldanha's late challenge caught a Cambotinha EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noel Saldanha helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Noel Saldanha. In the 81st minute, Clemente Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Emanuel de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Silas Pires came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silas Pires couldn't finish the play. The ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cambotinha EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
