The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Clube Audax Metropolitano getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Juan Gerber hit a great ball. Valdir Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Hugo Calderona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jano Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Matheus Torres hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Cristian Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jano Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Calderona, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Hugo Calderona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Audax Metropolitano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 40 minutes into the match, Miguel Fontes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of TAQUARI FC's Jano Neves. Jano Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fernando Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fernando Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Freitas in the 58th minute of play. Germano Gerber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jano Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Germano Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 62nd minute. When Váldson da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TAQUARI FC's protests and gave Váldson da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. TAQUARI FC's Dito de Toledo was substituted for Váldson da Silveira. The referee gave Clube Audax Metropolitano a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Calderona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of TAQUARI FC's Jano Neves. 0-5. 72 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Germano Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jano Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felipe Munhoz hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Jano Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Calderona. Felipe Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Fellipe Bueno got a free kick in the 97th minute.
