Natã Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Rossi came free, but Luisão Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Luisão Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Rossi in the 22nd minute of play. Bruno da Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno da Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bruno da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Luciano Batista dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Natã Rossi struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Luisão Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floripa Lions FSCMZ. Luisão Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Batista in the 31st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, André Luiz Proença took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Luisão Simões to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Batista got free with Luisão Simões in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisão Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Batista went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Dudu Neļķis got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luisão Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Proença in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Elói Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. Luisão Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Proença in the 52nd minute of play. Evaristo Siqueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dênis Gomes in the 54th minute. In the 64th minute, Dênis Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Siqueira. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 68 minutes into the game, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Luciano Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luisão Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. André Luiz Proença took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisão Simões. Luisão Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 76th minute, Natã Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisão Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 80th minute Luciano Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes of play, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Luciano Batista made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisão Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! Natã Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luisão Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Natã Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Evaristo Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno da Costa in the 94th minute of play. Hélder Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the PEÇONHENTO FC MG players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Floripa Lions FSCMZ.
