Johan Redbone came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Cruzeiro FC's Valdir Tepedino. But to his dismay, Valdir Tepedino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Johan Redbone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes OxentePaisa Salcity got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Botelho. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Bertassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fabiano Dracena's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. When Luiz Fabiano Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the OxentePaisa Salcity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Dracena couldn't finish the play. The Real Cruzeiro FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Cruzeiro FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
