With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Mendes in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olívio Abraão saved Inter Gala from getting behind. Marcel Mendes got in the 28th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Olívio Abraão handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Ribeiro in the 29th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Olívio Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Quintal made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jean Sena sent off a good shot on target. Olívio Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Ribeiro came free, but Olívio Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilmar Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

After having played for 59 minutes, Marcel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olívio Abraão made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Marcel Mendes sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Quintal was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Inter Gala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Independente FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
