After having played for 32 minutes, Edgard Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão Catarinense. If Cássio Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho do Vale made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Valdir Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sangue nos Zóio's Antônio Carlos Leme tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the game, Dudu Hermes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sangue nos Zóio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OTTO FC - FSCMZ the free kick. Dudu Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Cafu Linares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Zonta during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sangue nos Zóio's João Vítor Zonta got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sangue nos Zóio were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant OTTO FC - FSCMZ side.
