Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aníbal Mattos got the match started through his kick off. Bernardinho Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Almir Saldanha in the 5th minute. If Almir Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Wilson Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Goiás Esporte Clube's zone, Wilson Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho Jacinto came out of the goal and Wilson Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Valdomiro Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Goiás Esporte Clube's Bernardinho Jacinto got control of the ball when Almir Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dedé Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Vides in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Sandrinho Vides got a free kick in the 38th minute. Maicon Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Aurora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Vasconcelos came free, but Dedé Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Matorin to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's Aníbal Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedé Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Aurora FC's Maicon Félix got a free kick in the 71st minute. Victor Trigo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's Glauco Vasconcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedé Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurora FC's Dedé Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Mattos in the 76th minute of play. Wilson Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdomiro Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdomiro Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Ribeiro. Bernardinho Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Aníbal Mattos rounded Aurora FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1.
