Palmeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jereba 4EVER the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Senna to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Jereba 4EVER's Vânderson Matos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Márcio Freitas. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. The supporters of Jereba 4EVER booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Matos made a kick off. Dieguinho Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Manfredo Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jereba 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Paraíba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 minutes of play, Jereba 4EVER's Caetano Dante made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Márcio Freitas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ademir Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Márcio Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Matos in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ronaldinho Cosme hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Téo Trancoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dieguinho Viana, 3-1. Manfredo Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Freitas having to interfere. Jereba 4EVER's Dieguinho Viana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Jereba 4EVER from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute Manfredo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
