An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Sergipano in the 28th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Christiano Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Itajaí Football Club's zone, Cássio Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Cearense came out of the goal and Cássio Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Cristiano Albuquerque successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cristiano Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Berger in the 40th minute of play. Claudinei Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Cléber Rezende sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Black Bird United ƘԼƛƝ's Cristiano Albuquerque didn't even have to move. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
